Raven's Ridge

Please don't ask me where this story came from because I have no idea. I just started writing it and much like Piper's Hidden Kiss was, this story is going to be in two parts as well. Raven's Ridge will be posted on and not on so head over there to read and review my random story.

When Nora’s dad died, she stopped talking and started cutting herself. Admitted into a mental health facility, she must come to terms with her problem while striking up a friendship with another patient who just might be more messed up than she is.

Below are pictures of the characters as well as the setting, Raven's Ridge Health Facility. I hope at least some of you enjoy this story. Let me know. Thank you!

Hey Kate,

I'm sorry I'm one of the stupid readers that you had to clarify for because I just never got the impression that Kyle and Corey were in a relationship at all. I thought it was strictly them being "fuck buddies" and just "hooking up". I don't recall them being exclusive or maybe I'm too dense to get that. It happens. My bad because other people seem to understand it. I just have to read more carefully don't put more pressure on yourself than you already have. Have a good night.

Okay, wow...where did this story come from? It is completely different from your other stories. There's a sort of "Girl Interrupted" vibe going on. I don't see how you could wrap it up in one more chapter, but that's what makes you the writer and me the reader.

Great job.

I will say though that looking at the pictures you've chosen, I wouldn't say that Hugh Dancy really strikes me as the dangerously handsome sort (and he doesn't really pass for 19 either). But he is yummy...

do you have a song for nora? i was listening to thriving ivory's 'angels on the moon' and these lyrics struck me as perfect for her (at least at the beginning of her story):

"Don't tell me if I'm dying, cause I don't wanna know
If I can't see the sun, maybe I should go
Don't wake me cause I'm dreaming, of angels on the moon
Where everyone you know, never leaves too soon"

(the lyrics were pulled from a random site. my apologies if they are incorrect.)

maybe the lyrics are too obvious, but i immediately thought of her when i heard the song. man, i am getting way too wrapped up in your stories! :)

Hey Kate,

I had to clarify why I and some readers thought Kyle and Corey never dated or had a relationship besides hooking up and being fuck buddies. Since I have time today I actually went through TPT and chapters 28 and 31 is where Corey and Kyle started hooking up and how their hooking up ended. Let me say that when I use the word hooking up it means sex with no strings attach. Maybe I'm too literal and them being ambiguous and not defining them as a couple confused me. These are the quotes that mislead me to think that Kyle and Corey never really dated that they hooked up for a while he slept with Cassidy and that's when they became fuck buddies afterwards.

"Good thing I don’t want to date him," Corey laughed. (chapter 28
"It's not like we're dating or anything, Corey," Kyle said (chapter 31)
"Of course, it didn't make sense for Corey to be using Ella to get closer to Brett or Trevor since she was now Kyle Colfax’s fuck buddy or girlfriend or whatever the hell those two were doing together" (chapter 31)

I'm not doing this to be a smart ass or to prove I'm right or you're wrong. I'm a huge fan of yours and I think TPT is one of your best work because it has good character development, description, and it was an emotional rollercoaster. I think the most complex couple would have to be Corey and Kyle. I'm doing this because I love your stories and sometimes when things aren't clear I'm going to say something about it because you deserve to know what some reviewers truly think.

I always thougt that Corey and K. were in their "own relationship" not a serious one, but not a "libertine one " either, so I'm not suprised at all by how you described it in your new story ^^

Anyway, I already love what you are doing with that new short story, it's gonna be interestingly new with their mental problems and their surrounding !!
