The Beauty and the Tragedy - Chapter 1

Chapter one of The Beauty and the Tragedy is now posted on AFF.net so please read and review it for me. It turned out longer to be than I originally thought it would be but I hope everyone enjoys it. Please let me know what you think of it. Below is the song that helped inspire this story: The Beauty and the Tragedy by Trading Yesterday. Give it a listen to as well if you wish and I hope everyone likes my new story so far. Thank you. And I promise that all will be later explained in this story so do not worry if you are confused for the time being about certain things.

The Beauty and the Tragedy

*deep breath* Okay. I am nervous about talking about this because I do not know what people will think but I am almost done with the first chapter and I wanted to tell everyone about this newest story I am working on. It is called The Beauty and the Tragedy and I have decided to add another installment to the popular "Wonderwall" series that I have created. This particular story will follow Danny Aldridge and River Conway, Abe and Cecilia's daughter.

The Beauty and the Tragedy by Kate
River Conway is seventeen years old and has never had a boyfriend. Staying the summer at his house, she asks Danny Aldridge to teach her about relationships and sex. The arrangement starts simple enough until love enters the picture.

I want to write this story because I wanted a story that is about first love - the innocence and the excitement about it all. A Slow Burn is dark, The Nicest Thing and Between the Lines is angst-filled, and The Flower Girl is mysterious and supernatural. I wanted to work on a story for a while that is about those first-time moments in our lives that wind up changing us. There will be drama in this story but it will also be terribly sweet and romantic.

Some tidbits going into it - Many things have changed in the Wonderwall world:

- Abe and Cecilia have moved to Providence to raise their two children, River and Grant. He no longer speaks to Chase and he has rare contact with his other friends back in Boston.

- Nikki is married to Chase. Her relationship with both Chase and Lawson will be explained.

- This story is going to cover several years - something I have never done before but something I am excited to try.

- Though this story is about teenagers (though we will eventually see them in their twenties), Danny and River act maturely. I promise.

Please let me know what you think. If no one is really interested in this, I will just put it on the backburner for a while. Writing this does not mean that I am putting a hold on any of my other stories. I just need to take a break from them and write something that makes me smile and makes my characters smile too.

Between the Lines - Part II

The second and final part of Between the Lines is now posted on AFF.net. I already know that some people are going to think that it is rushed and that it is unfinished but that was entirely intended. It had to be if I am already knowing what people will complain about lol. I wrote it like that on purpose. I wanted the ending to be hanging in the air and let people imagine their own ending. Sometimes, the best things are the things left unsaid.

Below is a picture of Wallace and Amelia. Many might know that they are actors from Gossip Girl and as I was writing the scene in the second part about them with the cell phone, this scene from the show - yes, it is my guilty pleasure show - popped into my head and I wanted to find a screencap for it so that is the picture below.

Please read and review for me. I am already working on something... something I do not want to even talk about until the first chapter is complete but as soon as it is to my liking, I will let everyone know and explain why I wrote it. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone and please review. You know how much it means to me. Thank you!

Between The Lines - Part I

Part I of II of Between the Lines is now posted on AFF.net and hopefully by now, everyone knows the drill. Please head over there and read it for me. Please review too so I know what you think so far of the story. I am definitely liking writing about Wallace and Hannah so far and I hope everyone likes reading about them. If you have read Some Kind of Wonderful, you may remember that Justin and Poppy had another child besides Wallace and Amelia. Danny Aldridge is in this story as well though I have made him a little older than he was first written. His picture is posted below and I have no idea who the Jonas Brothers are but the instant I saw those black curls, I instantly thought of Justin.

I hope everyone has had a good Monday and I am already working on the second part and hopefully will have it posted within the next couple of days. Thank you everyone!

Wallace and Hannah

As I write this, I am also working on a one-shot, possibly a two-part, story called Between the Lines and it is about the relationship between Wallace Aldridge and Hannah Smith. It will also feature Amelia Aldridge-Reed and Casey Reed from Some Kind of Wonderful. I hope to have it posted either tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Between the Lines:
She was the love his life. He just never told her when she was around. The only way he can now is by writing a book about her. He needs her back in his life but he has not seen her in almost a year and no one will tell him where she is. Wallace Aldridge is determined to find her though because whether or not Hannah Smith wants him, he knows he needs her more than anything.

Characters of The Flower Girl

Most of my stories have a large supporting cast of characters and The Flower Girl is no different. Each character in this story will be extremely important and they will begin to be slowly introduced in part III as well as chapter IV. Below is a list as well as pictures of each character. Thank you to everyone who has read and reviewed this story for me. I think it has turned into my summer story and I am enjoying writing it immensely. I love trying new things with my writing and I am very happy that it is being well received by most of you.

Characters:
Molly Lombard – The Eye; creature of light
Riley Hawkin – protector of the Mogue; Molly’s guardian

The Flower Girl - Part II

Part II of The Flower Girl is posted on Fictionpress.com so please, check it out for me. Read it and review it for me. I really am loving this story and I know it is so different than my other stories but I am hoping that people are willing to give me a chance and let me branch out and try other things. A lot happens in this chapter but there are still a lot of questions that need to be answered in regards to Molly and Hawkin.

Before anyone says it is, this is not a religious story. I love mythology and I actually have pulled a lot of things from those books that I have read. Also, the tv show "Carnivale" was an inspiration - a show I highly recommend to anyone and everyone. I am so excited when I think about what is to come in this story. Please review for me. It really motivates me. Thank you! I also have pictures of Molly and Hawkin to post but I am having difficulty doing that at the moment (computer problems) so I will load them as soon as I can. I hope everyone is having a good day.

The Prettiest Thing - Chapter One (Again)

Chapter one of the new and improved The Prettiest Thing is now posted on AFF.net for your enjoyment. As I mentioned earlier, it is now copyrighted so I hope no one is stupid enough to try and steal it from me. I guess I am paranoid but I have never been more proud of a story and I worked months on it. I am still working on it - editing and adding/deleting things. Please read and review and I am so happy to post this back up. The first chapter isn't that different - just a few edits that had to be done. I hope everyone still enjoys it. Thank you.

Life Update

Hi everyone. I am back from vacation and already, I have so many things going on with regards to all of my stories. Please read this post carefully:

The Nicest Thing and A Slow Burn are ON HIATUS until the summer is over when I have more time to update my multi-chaptered stories and more people are around to read and leave me feedback. I know the summer months are incredibly busy for all of my readers (not that the cooler months are any better for some of you) but right now, I want to focus on lighter, shorter stories. So everyone will have to wait for continuations of Corey and Kyle and Rob and Lauren.

The Prettiest Thing has been offically copyrighted (my aunt is a lawyer and helped me) so I have decided to post it again on AFF.net. If anyone steals it from me, they will be sued so I am much more comfortable posting my "greatest work" online again since I know so many of you love and miss it. I am in the midst of editing it and *crossing fingers* am hoping to publish it. My uncle has recently been published and he is going to be helping me with the process. I will post a chapter a day of the new and improved story starting tonight so be on the lookout for it.

I have many one-shots in the work, including a story for Nate and Gretchen, and since for me, this seems to be the summer of one-shots, I will post them as inspiration strikes me and I write them.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and I will make a post when the first chapter of The Prettiest Thing is once again posted. Thank you.

Nate and Gretchen

Here I am in beautiful - but hot as hell - New Orleans and our hotel tonight has internet access. I just wanted to write this down because I haven't written anything in days and I feel like I am going crazy from not doing so. I have been thinking about my next one-shot, both for Fictionpress.com and for Nothing Else Matters and I think I am going to write about Nate Hardwick and Gretchen Sheppard from Wonderwall and Even After All. This couple has always had their own story but I never told it and I am thinking that perhaps it is time I do. If you remember, Gretchen is Poppy's older sister with an eating disorder and Nate is her boyfriend then later, her husband. I really think that this is something that I want to write but would it be a oneshot anyone would be interested in reading? Let me know. Now, I leave for Bourbon Street. Have a good week everyone! Stay cool!

Nothing Left to Lose

Okay. I really need to stop with these but I am a one-shot addict all of a sudden. Nothing Left to Lose is posted on Fictionpress.com so please, as always, read and review for me and I would really appreciate it. Have a happy and safe 4th of July to everyone who celebrates and I will see you all in a week.

The Flower Girl - Part I

The first part of The Flower Girl is now posted on Fictionpress.com. My multi-chapter stories usually don't do too well on this site but I love this story so much and I wanted to post it again. Please read and review it for me and hopefully, you will enjoy. I will be on vacation next week so there will be no updates but I hope to come back, brimming with inspiration. Have a wonderful week to come and I will post the instant I am back.

All I Ask of You

Prepare for the most random story you will ever read from me. This summer, with me taking it easy and writing whenever I am inspired, I have written another one-shot, All I Ask of You, which is now posted on Fictionpress.com. Sometimes, I just want to write these little romances that are far too fluffy for their own good and make me smile. Please read and review. I know it is really random and I might write a second part but I hope everyone enjoys John and Vanessa's story.

Below are pictures of John and Vanessa and I know that the actress is the same I used for Amelia from Some Kind of Wonderful but I think the actress, Leighton Meester, is beautiful and she is actually how I envision a lot of my heroines - including Vanessa from All I Ask of You. And I just think Robert Pattinson is too good-looking for his own good (though I still do not agree with him being cast as Edward in Twilight). Anyway, please read and let me know how random it is.

I will be on vacation all next week - my first real vacation in almost two years - so there will be no updates but I am sure to come back with tons of ideas and inspiration flowing from me. I will post once more before I go so in the meantime, have a wonderful Wednesday and read All I Ask of You for me. Thank you!

Vanessa
