TPT - Chapter Thirty-Eight

Well, that time has arrived. Chapter thirty-eight, the epilogue, of The Prettiest Thing is now posted on AFF.net and with it, this story is officially finished. I loved this chapter - so many more possibilities for each character even after it is finished and I was actually thinking about writing a sequel later on down the road. I love this entire story and though I loved every minute of it, every character and situation I created, I am going to miss it so much. Please read, review and leave your final thoughts on The Prettiest Thing. Thank you to everyone for everything - all of the reviews and the warm words. I am so happy that I was able to share this story with you.

Great end to the story.

I'm frustrated that Corey and Kyle didn't resolve anything, but at the same time I think that was the most realistic way to go with those two.

The Lyla/Andy and Trevor/Joy stuff was great.

I like the idea of Brett and Ella kind of taking it slow, instead of just being back to where they were. Only now I'm really looking forward to their one-shot in "nothing else matters".

Can't wait for your next story or one-shot.

I cried when I read it! I AM GOING TO MISS THIS STORY SO MUCH! I LOVE IT DEARLY!

I will probably go back and read it over and over again later. PLEASE branch off on seperate stories with these characters later on, like you did with yjr characters from Wonderwall. I want to know how their lives play out in the future.
It felt like they were real people. Words can not describe how wonderfully you write. Please publish this? Please? I would buy it in a heart beat.
I can not wait for your next story and/or oneshot. A Slow Burn sounds like it's going to be amazing as well!

WOW - what can I say?

I have loved every moment of this story and truly feel it is the best you've ever written. I hope you are proud of yourself - this longer novel length story obviously suits you quite well and I hope we see more of them in the future.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a sequel somewhere in the future. It seems to me that Brett and Ella, Trevor and Joy, and even Corey and Kyle have more of a story to tell. I would love to see their lives in college and beyond. I am sure you are ready to move on to other projects but I am hoping that one of these days you'll take us back to see the Scott clan once again!

Thank-you Kate for your dedication to writing and sharing this story with us. I will really miss it! Thanks again and take care!

I hope you'll do one shot with Brett and Ella and eventually both goes down and walk in the aisle...and really its just frustrating for Corey and Kyle, it got me thinking that Kyle really has feelings toward Corey but seems cannot tell her...Again for Ella and Brett, its good that they will be taking it slow, hopefully be together till the end...love the ending...and I'M GOING TO MISS THIS STORY, I'VE BEEN FOLLOWING THIS STORY....

It was a great story and I loved it.^_^
The picture you've chosen for Joy with the baby is really great.

Are you going to do a sequel with Corey and Kyle? Even if it's just a one-shot? It would be interesting.

okk, since it was the last chapter, I wanted to make sure and leave my thoughts.

I loved how it started, and just the fact that Lyla and Andy were getting married in front of family, as well as the baptism, I also liked Corey and Kyle's encounter, and I love that Brett and Ella decided to start working on things.

I just felt almost like there was a lot to be told, and resolved still, and I wasn't sure if that is how it was meant to come across. I loved it, all of the story, just the way it is, but i am eager for more stories, one shots or short chapter stories, anything for these characters.

CAN NOT WAIT for your next story!!

Keep up your AMAZING writing!!

This was a amazing story from beginning to end. I really felt like was a part of these character's lives. I rooted for them, I felt anxiety for them, I got angry at them, I was happy for them, I even wrote a letter to Brett. You really wrote with a lot of emotion for this story. Your character development was great. You took a lot of time actually using dialog for them to express their feeling instead of just telling the reader what they were thinking, They stated it, or did it, which allowed us, the reader to feel it even more a part of the story.

I love the ending. I'm happy Lyla didn't just bounce out of her depression without pills or going to see someone. I'm happy Trevor and Joy didn't get married because most of the times that's not what happens at 18. I love that Corey was the typical teenager and although she was hurt, she is trying to put up a barrier of just being f**k buddies, it happens everyday. That is one of the things I love about your writing. You are so realistic!

In this story you covered: Life in a small town, hometown heros, teenage drinking, sex, pregnancy, safe sex, abortion, the importance of family and friends, adoption, religion, death, divorce, remarriage, grief, anger management, learning disabilities, depression, dreams deferred, and facing adulthood. You opened your readers up to countless songs, and movies. You stuck through it regardless to getting several reviews, only a few reviews, and even a bad review.

You are Awesome and I appreciate how much work you put into this. Thank you for all your time and dedication. I can't wait to read your next story. I'llbe right there reviewing every chapter.

Sorry I didn't have the chance to review it last night but I have to say there still a story to tell. I am impress that everyone, even Monty has their story to tell. I cannot wait for the later addition to this. It was great and maybe we can see them as adults instead of teenagers. Great job Kate, you very best yet.

That was an absolute perfect ending to a great story. I'm really glad that we got to see that Andy and Lyla were making it and that they were taking their marriage seriously. I love this couple and to see them getting happier was great.

I am also really glad that Ella and Brett aren't jumping right back into their relationship. I don't think that'd be very realistic for them. You wrote it perfectly and stayed true to the couple.

Joy and Trevor were adorable and I'm both happy and disappointed by Corey and Kyle. They stayed true to their characters, but I really wish Corey would realize that she doesn't deserve the treatment that Kyle gives her. At the same time, I realize that this is part of their messy relationship, if you can call it that.

Perfect Kate. I can't wait to read your next story.
