Ghetto Gospel

I have another profile on Fictionpress.com under the name Helter Skelter Romance and I posted my first story under that name today. Now, a lot of you know my love for music and how I will listen to everything. I am actually a big Tupac fan and was listening to his song "Ghetto Gospel" yesterday which also features Elton John and a story idea popped into my head. I have always been fascinated with criminology and sociology but I have never written a story using those interests before. Ghetto Gospel is definitely going to be a love story - a love story set against a complicated backdrop - but I wanted to post something completely different. I wanted to try writing something completely different.

I don't know if it is going to work or not. I don't know if anyone is going to like it but I wanted to write it for me. I wanted to take my books and my studies and turn it into a love story. I wanted to blend black and white and write something that still is not accepted by a lot of people today. If you are interested, please click on the link to the right, Helter Skelter Romance on Fictionpress, and read Ghetto Gospel for me. I know it won't be popular. I know people are going to read it and be confused that Templeton21 wrote it. Below are pictures of Jane and Preston, the main characters, as well as the music video for Ghetto Gospel, which stars JD Williams, the actor I imagine portraying Preston. For those not at all interested in this story, do not worry. I am working on the eighth chapter of The Prettiest Thing. Thank you in advance to those who will give Ghetto Gospel a chance.

After reading the summary of this story, I was immediately interested in reading it!

I wasn't expecting Jane and Preston to meet in the first chapter and that made me really happy. I'm really excited for this story, but I was wondering why you posted it on FictionPress and not on AFF.net?

I was just curious. I've been really busy these days and I haven't been able to leave a proper review for some time. I shouldn't be reading or reviewing now since I have a midterm essay that's due tomorrow but I procrastinate and I can't help reading your stories!

:-)

I hope we get to see more chapters for "Ghetto Gospel" soon!

Great 1st chapter so far, nothing confusing about you writing this! It looks like the beginning of a love story, but with a very interesting social background ! ! I will love to read more about Jane & Preston !!

I think once you get into the second and third chapters, the flow will become better. I see that you have chosen a slightly different style in conveying the story so maybe that is what will take time for you to adjust to...

It is nice and I look forward to reading the rest of it. I hope that you will take time in unfolding the chapters as I feel this is not a story to be rushed..

I will be waiting in anticipation to read every new chapter that you come up with for this story. I think you will delight us all with this one. Well, for us who like mixed couples at least.

Hi Kate,

I really enjoyed the first chapter. I could just feel the chemistry between Jane and Preston. I'll definitely be on the lookout for future chapters. After reading your summary, I was immediately intrigued. I'm a sociology major, so this story looks incredible interesting. Love the characters. Preston is hot and Jane is so pretty!
