Ghetto Gospel - Chapter Five

Chapter five of Ghetto Gospel is posted on Fictionpress.com. Please do me a small favor and review it for me. I know this story isn’t for everyone but I deeply appreciate the response I have been getting for it so far. I am feeling immense inspiration for both this story and The Flower Girl so thank you to everyone who is reading and interesting in these two.

Someone asked me about a follow-up to Seven Minutes in Heaven and while I did write another sequel, I thought it was complete crap and I deleted it. At the moment, I have no ideas for a continuation of Devon and Grace’s and at the moment, I don’t even know if I will ever write a continuation. I have to feel inspired and I have to want to write it. At the moment, I am feeling neither. I am sorry for those who are disappointed by this.

In addition to reading and reviewing Ghetto Gospel, I also have another favor to ask. Loyal reader and friend 7 Years has been kicking ass pulling music for me for The Flower Girl – which will all be loaded on my profile on Fictionpress in due time – but I am having a hell of a time finding a song for Preston and Jane for Ghetto Gospel. Does anyone have any suggestions? “Ghetto Gospel” by Tupac is the story’s theme song but I would like if Preston and Jane had their own theme as well.

Any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you in advance and I hope everyone is having a fantastic week.

Great chapter. I can really see the culture clash. You are doing a great job Kate.

I'm not sure what kind of genre you were aiming for the music themes for the characters, but 'Raise it up' from the soundtrack of movie 'August Rush' might be a song suitable for Preston. Just find it and listen to it if you can, hate or like it thats up to you

What about 'Blanket' by Urban Species ft. Imogen Heap?

I love that song :] It's sort of trip-hop.

Hi, I adore The Flower Girl and I haven't read Ghetto Gospel yet but I will. I promise and I will review. It sounds really interesting! I know I haven't read it yet but maybe Preston and Jane's song could be Ever Fallen in Love by The Stiff Dylans?

Have a good day!

Hello Kate,

I hope you're having a fantastic Saturday. I have a couple of song suggestions for Preston and Jane. I'll have to admit they were hard to find a song for.
Sade "By Your Side"
Lenny Kravitz "Again"
And as you know if I hear anything else you'll certainly know about it.
