Some New Ideas

Let me know what you think of these ideas for these will be the stories to be worked on after I complete A Fairy Tale:

Stars and Boulevards: Every football player at Reagan High School knows better than to ever even look at Coach Thomas’ daughter, Rowan. But from the first time star fullback Chris Moss sees her, he is instantly interested in her. Of course, with Coach Thomas standing in his way, and Rowan refusing to date football players, Chris certainly has a challenge ahead of him in his pursuit of her.

Wasteland: Soap-opera actress, Nelly Werner, is driving up from Chicago to visit her ailing mother in her hometown of Raven, Wisconsin. But while there, a truck crashes, spilling chemicals all over the road and quarantining the town until the air is cleared and the chemicals are not deemed dangerous, leaving Nelly in a town she hasn’t been back to since she left at eighteen. There, she will reconnect with her mother again and some old friends while meeting the town’s new sheriff, Simon Alvarez.

I love the first idea! Sounds perfect.

The second one though, I'm not so sure. It sounds interesting, but I guess I'd have to read it to say that I like it.

Hope you are having a safe and happy holidays.

I would say the first idea, but I'd prefer a non high school storyline. Maybe tweak it so that they're not in high school, but maybe a pro team or even college...

The second story is a bit iffy. I don't know if I like the premise. I would probably have to read it to tell for sure.

I like the first, though I agree and think that it should be set in college. Even I, as a high schooler, think that's a bit cliche.

The second sounds really improbable/ridiculous with the chemicals spilling and quarantining. Perhaps you could find a different reason to keep her in town?

I think the first idea would be great, i'd definitely read it, but the high school thing does weaken its appeal.

As for the second one, I could take it or leave it. I do however love the actor/characters you've chosen, if that counts.

Have a great holiday!

I love the second one, it changes from high school stories, and in Malcolm in the middle there were a episode with the same idea so it's not ridiculous XD But first enjoy your vacation !!!

I personally love the second idea because from what I read of your stories, you haven't done it yet. I think it is brillent and want to see how you manage and see you grow as an author. The first one has it appeals but I think it should be either a college or pro instead of high school.

Happy Holidays to you and your family and best wishes.

I agree with most of the people that commented before me. I think the first story would be better if they weren't in high school.

And I think I'm one of the many few that actually like the idea of the second one, haha. It sounds so interesting, and it doesn't really matter whether it's realistic or not, because it's your story and you can write whatever you want to write.

Anyways, have a safe and happy holidays with your family!

I think the first one is cute. It's definitely something I think most of your readers would enjoy.

I like the idea for the second story. I know some comments do say that it is improbable, but this is something completely different for you and I like that. The added upset of an ailing mother and being quarantined in this town make for some tense and touching moments; both of which add depth to the story. :)

Happy Holidays Kate!

I like the first idea too, but I love to read all your stories because you write them so well.

I agree with everyone else though that the characters in the first idea are in college instead of high school (or pro-football).

Happy Holidays!

Ok so I know I said both stories would be great and I still agree with that original statement, but I think I would like to read Wasteland first. 1: It is something that doesn't happen often, so very original setting. 2. I could see where a situation like that would put everyone in a high emotional state. 3. I like reading about that age group best, I think I'm getting old. : ) 4. I connect to the pictures you have for Simon and Nelly. I kind of look at the picture like casting photos for if your stories et turned into a movies.
