A Pocketful of Poppies - Part Seventeen

What is going on with me this week? I am the updating queen and it reminds me of the old days when I would update several times a day. I am quite happy with the way part seventeen of A Pocketful of Poppies - now posted on Fictionpress - turned out. I wanted to show more of Justin's past and why he sometimes gets those nasty panic attacks. Please read it for me and I hope that I have grounds to be satisfied with it.

I am heading up to Milwaukee tomorrow and will return Sunday - after a trip to IKEA Sunday afternoon. You all know how much I love IKEA. So there will be no updates from me in a few days. I know some of you worry when you do not see the blog updated but it will only be for a few days. I might be able to squeeze in another update of Better Together before I leave but no promises.

Oh! Before I forget, as you all know, I am posting Better Together and then More than Anyone on Fictionpress. Ben and Olivia's story especially is going to be getting a makeover with some editing and adding of scenes. Of my other stories on AFF, which one do you want to see get the royal editing treatment next? Leave me a comment and let me know. I know I have to finish A Pocketful of Poppies, which has two more chapters until completion, and then work must be done on Soldier Boy and When Night is Almost Done but I am nothing if not a person who multi-tasks so let me know which story should come after More than Anyone. Thanks and have an amazing Thursday, everyone. I am in a spectacular mood for some reason.

Hi Kate,

I'm a long time reader, first time commenter (laziness on my part).
My fave stories of yours are the Flower Girl set. Are you going to be updating Dark Side of the Moon?
Also my fave from AFF is The Prize, I do love Amy and Tyson. One of my friends actually knows someone called Amy Dunn...

I think you're a terrific writer Kate! Keep up the good work!

Yep me too there is the prize, a fairy tale, and She paints me blue, and everything will be allright, and something pretty ...

did you say 'one' story??? XD lol you know it's a hard choice for us to pick only one ^^

2 chapter left??? for a pocketful?? just as for "watherly myth" I was expecting lots of chapter, since you are building their relationship apparently more slowly than in the original one. But you are the boss, though I can say I am surprised it's almost the end !

Great chapter as usual

Two chapters left? I don't know what to do with myself after this! You are such an awesome writer. I LOVED this chapter so much. There was so much pain and sorrow, and that made it so much more amazing. Great job and I can't wait for more!

Yay, I'm so glad you're in a great mood. You deserve to be.

One story from AFF? Umm....

Something Pretty (I like Brady and Ali) or will With Me be continued?

Or A Fairy Tale?
It's hard to pick one. I love them all.

Have fun in Milwaukee and in IKEA. The Swedish always have the coolest shops.

I would LOVE to see "The Prize" edited and reposted. I don't think it needs to be edited at all, but I just want it posted on FP!!

I love Ben and Olivia! Can't wait for that one! And thank you for updating Pocketfull of Poppies =)

I still haven't read your new stories as have been so busy with classes and uni, but I'm savouring them for the Summer holidays now! More for then! =D

It's nice to hear that you're in such a good mood :] And I really enjoyed the latest chapter of A Pocketful Of Poppies. So sad that it's almost finished!

Anyway, I was thinking about some of the stories I love from AFF that might be good to read again, are... Everything Will Be Alright and Some Kind Of Wonderful.

Oh! And The Prize. I loved that one. I love them all haha! This is too hard...

Hope you enjoy your trip and IKEA. I love that store too.

I vote for "Everything Will Be Alright". Not a lot of editing, just some things here and there.

And I agree with everyone else, I want "The Prize" (and "Fairy Tale") posted on FP too. Maybe with an extra chapter for each set a little later down the road; like Tyson asking Amy to marry him or something, and Carrie and Andrew having their baby.

Hi Kate,

Now that there are only two, well one chapter, left of Pocketfull, will the original story about them be moot? The time where Justin spread a rumor throughout the school about her and hurt her or the time they were split up for a while cuz of Chase?

Have a good time on your trip and thanks for all the updates this week!

Now, this chapter is so so sad and it also makes me wanna slap Justin right upside his head. However, you did an amazing job on this stories like you did on your other ones. Keep up the good work!!

I would say my fav from AFF.Net is all of them but my favorite is 'Everything Will Be Alright."
