Molly Sheppard leads a quite existence, living in Chicago, working in a small floral shop owned by her aunt and uncle and living in the apartment on the floor above.
Late one night, while closing up, a masked man enters the flower shop demanding money.
Even after she empties the register, the man shoots Molly in the head, disappearing into the night and leaving her for dead.
But Molly lives.
With a bullet lodged inside of her brain and suffering now from chronic migraines, Molly begins to experience rather odd things – voices heard though no one around her is talking, quick flashes of visions that show people in need of help, and the mysterious man following her, hiding in the shadows, claiming that he is now her keeper.
When Molly was shot in the head, it should have been the end of her life.
Instead, it was just the beginning.
