*waves hesitantly* Hi, everyone. Remember me? I meant to make an announcement a couple weeks ago but I never did and I am truly sorry for that because you all deserve more than that. As you can see, I took almost all of my stories down - either for publishing or plagarizing problems - and declared myself to be on a summer hiatus. There was just so much going on in regards to my stories that I needed a break from it all.

I have been enjoying my summer, even though I really hate hot, humid weather like this, and have actually been writing a lot of fanfiction. I feel that fanfiction is a great writing exercise that keeps my brain working and being creative and I post at my livejournal. (just click the link to check it out)

Almost all posts are open to the public to read but if you do want to sign up, an account is completely free. I know it is not fair to move to a new site and take my stories down, but I feel that for me, personally, this was the best move and I feel so good about it.

Thank you for everything you have ever done for me. From the reading and reviewing to leaving comments here to the constant coddling and encouraging and for the artwork and videos... I still have no idea what I did to deserve any of you. What a long strange journey this has been but... *crossing fingers* hopefully, someday, my book is being sold in a store and I will FINALLY get to meet some of you.

Love Kate

I have this sad feeling that I lost one of my favorite books and now I can't find it again :(

Your stories are amazing and it was a privilege to read them. I wish you all the best.

Your stories, to me - and I'm sure to a lot of people - were like the books on my shelf that have really cracked spines and are all dog-eared from me reading them over and over again. I love your work, you are a phenomenal writer and you've given us some amazing characters that we all fell in love with. So thank you :] It is sad, but I'm truly glad that you shared your stories with us.

I really hope all goes well with your book. Good luck, Kate!

Thank you very much for sharing your stories with us all. I enjoyed them all and it was an honour to get to read them. I wish you the best of luck with your book and for the future.

Ps. When you do get published (and we all know you will) won't you come back and let us know? Please? I know I, along with many others, would love to buy your book.

Hey,
I've read somewhere that Catherine Anderson also started out by publishing her stories on the net and now she is a successful writer. I'm a fan of hers too. I believe that your stories will also enjoy great success like hers. If buying your books are the only way to get to read your stories, then buy them i will.

Because I absolutely believe that your stories are worth every penny.

All the best!

I'm kind of upset that I won't be able to go to AFF or FP and read your stories anymore because they made me happy.

However, it's your decision and whatever makes you comfortable is most important.

I hope that one day I'll be able to buy one of your stories and meet you.

Nyah XOXO

oh darn, i was hoping to be able to read Collide just oen mroe time before you took it down, any chance that you will post that one at your LJ? i know you don't consider it to be your best work, but i think there is something so simply enigmatic about that piece, something brilliant about the relationship there...

just wanted to leave a message about an option... on livejournal there is this group called plagerismhaven which is brought together by a few famous FP authors like jd allen, em wolf, samanthanicole, kendal, etc. and there they actually do a ton of research about every applicant to join the group as readers before granting them access to the group. in the group they post all of the works that they finished and/or are working on. you may want to consider joining... and i admit i say this purely out of selfishness since i'd hate to never read your works again (esp collide *sigh* lol)

gl with all of your future endeavors and hope to see you keep us posted as to what's to happen next with you.

you may want to consider this site (authonomy.com) for your older and/or current works. it's run by harper collins publishing company and is free to use and any story posted there is put in pdf format so you can't copy/paste anythign according to the restrictions put on the posts. also what the company does through this site is research the most popular stories/authors there and then reads those manuscripts so it can also be a means of putting yourself out there, editorially...
